The mission of The Collaboratory of Virginia (CVA) is to create a place of collisions and community for nonprofits. These collisions lead to collaboration and innovation, which in turn leads to greater impact. Effective collisions rarely occur organically, but can be stimulated through proximity, programming and shared services. The Collaboratory of Virginia (“CVA”) creates the space for all three. It can be thought of as a specialized co-working site, a Nonprofit community center, a neutral site for foundation-lead programming and a key piece of the greater Richmond Nonprofit ecosystem. When the Nonprofit community thrives, the entire community thrives.
