The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay is a world-leading and highly selective higher education institution with expertise across science, engineering, technology, design, the humanities and management. The recent growth in its philanthropic relationships and changes regarding corporate social responsibility legislation in India, IITB has decided to professionalize and enhance its fundraising and alumni activities. It has created the IITB Development and Relations Foundation, a Section 8 company, a not-for-profit organization.
