Tender Claws is an independent studio working at the intersection of art and games. Our projects take unique approaches across different media that range from hybrid book apps to AR, VR and leaf blowers. Our first release PRY, an interactive book/app/game, was an IGF Finalist and named by Apple as one of the Best Apps of 2015. Our next game Virtual Virtual Reality (VVR) draws on our 10+ years of experience creating narrative for immersive media and VR. VVR won “Best VR Experience” at the Google Play Awards 2017 among others. In November of 2018 we released Tendar, a long narrative AR game about an AI pet fish that eats your emotions. Tendar was previewed at Sundance, GDC and IndieCade where it won the Innovation in Interaction Award. We've enjoy working across a variety of mediums and have even created a sport “Tumball” played with tumbleweeds and leaf blowers! Tender Claws is based in LA.
