The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology is an institution in its pursuit of both academic excellence and all-rounded development of students. Center for Global & Community Engagement (GCE) is established to offer various enrichment opportunities, aiming to inspire students to achieve personal growth by experiences and apply their engineering professional knowledge in addressing the challenges in the community. In the part of Global Engagement, we provide opportunities for students to initiate exciting engineering projects and participate in various competitions, conferences and exhibitions. Through the interdisciplinary collaboration, students are also empowered their leadership skills and team-work experience. Also, students can gain international exposure in these events. Besides, we also play an active role in nurturing our students to become professional engineers by connecting them with worldwide engineering professionals and also different NGOs. In Community Engagement, we encourage students in applying their engineering knowledge, in their service-learning projects.
