Founded in 2008, the Irish Film Festival (IFF) is Ireland's official showcase in Russia for the best of Irish Cinema. One of the largest Irish cinema festivals in the world, the IFF in Russia is supported by the Embassy of Ireland, Culture Ireland, Reel Ireland, the Irish Film Board, and the Irish Film Institute, and will be partnered in 2020 by Kerry Group, and Macro Advisory. In 2012, the IFF was expanded into IRISH WEEK which, over 12 days around St.Patrick's Day, embraces dozens of cultural events taking place in Moscow (www.irishweek.ru). 2020 sees the IFF's 13th anniversary in Russia, and Irish Week's 8th with special guests including actors Barry Ward and Gavin Drea, and actor/director Jack Reynor.
