Société des Ports du Détroit is in charge of implementing the tasks related to design, build, finance and maintain the port of Calais extension within the 50-year concession contract signed between Conseil Régional Nord-Pas de Calais and Société d'Exploitation des Ports du Détroit. The Calais Port 2015 project has a cost of €650 million and includes: - Building a new 3km seawall and a 90-hectare dock to allow for port developments - 44 hectares of new quayage using material dredged from the dock - Constructing berths for the latest generation of mega ferries - Developing required road and rail connections - A new rail-road-sea terminal
