Contigo offers Spanish translating and interpreting services, and is run by husband and wife duo, Simone and Jordan in Melbourne, Australia. Simone, (Simona as she is affectionately known by her family and clients) is a self-confessed hispanophile having spent many years living in various countries around South America. In 2017, Simona decided to undertake a Master’s Degree in Translating and Interpreting in Spanish at RMIT, graduating with distinction the following year. As part of the RMIT course, Simona undertook the NAATI exam, where she gained Professional Certification in Spanish to English translation and Spanish and English interpretation. Simona now provides language services to the Spanish-speaking community and hopes that through her work, she is able to bridge the gap between English and Spanish speakers in Australia. Jordan works in gov tech and is a spreadsheet geek, currently learning Spanish to keep up with his wife. He helps with the business side to keep things running smoothly.
