Conceived in 2013 and Incorporated in 2016, NFRJ is a board-driven organization registered with Social Welfare Council of Nepal (Ministry of Women, Children and Social Welfare) under the Associations Registration Act 1977 and Social Welfare Act 1992. NFRJ aims to establish non-adversarial mechanisms in Nepal as a way of positively transforming contexts of conflict and crime so that in longer term a more sustainable peace can be achieved in societies. It aims to establish restorative, community and transformative justice in both socio-political and legal-judicial spheres in Nepal.
