INVESTSUD is a private venture capital firm in Belgium (Wallonia) dedicated to accompanying small and medium-sized family companies with equity or quasi-equity funds. INVESTSUD focuses its investments in different industries: agri/food, general industry, technological start up and wood. Investsud was founded in 1983 by 9 industrial entrepreneurs and the SNI. The main purpose of the company : helping the economical growth of Wallonia by providing capital to the SME. 40 years later, this is still our DNA. Investsud has invested almost 200 million euros in more than 400 companies, contributing the creation of 9400 jobs. Besides the economical growth, the societal and environmental aspects were very early involved in the investments decisions. That’s why, staying a private company, Investsud works very closely with the public sector. Two subsidiaries were created with the Solwafin to support the technology start-up in the Province of Luxembourg and the wood sector in Wallonia. Apart from the tailor-made investment solutions, Investsud aims to be of strong partner providing support and smarts services to our partners to help them along the steps of the life of the companies.
