We provide a comprehensive suite of aquatic ecological services, including: - Aquatic fauna surveys for environmental approvals, impact assessments, compliance monitoring and mine closure. We are experts in the survey of macroinvertebrates, microinverterbates (zooplankton), marine infauna, fish, crayfish, turtles, frogs, water birds, hyporheos fauna & water rats - Desktop reviews and targeted surveys for threatened & priority aquatic fauna and ecological communities - Water and sediment quality monitoring and assessment, and development of site-specific water quality guidelines, in line with the Water Quality Australia water quality protection framework - Invasive (pest) fish removal, including koi/carp and goldfish, using boat and backpack electrofishing and traditional netting/trapping methods - Development, monitoring and review of ecological water requirements (EWRs) and water provisions (EWPs) - Fish passage and migration assessments - Ecotoxicity, fish tissue metal bioaccumulation and food web studies - In-house sample processing and species-level identification of aquatic invertebrate fauna (freshwater and estuarine/marine infauna). Our expert taxonomists have experience in identifying aquatic invertebrate fauna from across Australia, Papua New Guinea, Timor-Leste, Indonesia and Oceania. We work with a range of local, national and international clients in the mining, infrastructure, local government and State utility sectors, using scientifically-robust survey design, data analysis and expert ecological knowledge to provide high-quality technical reports and management advice.
