The Prince Albert Raiders Hockey Club has been a staple of its community since its inception in 1971 as members of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League, eventually joining the Western Hockey League in 1982. The community-owned franchise has won four Centennial Cups as national Junior A champions, two Ed Chynoweth Cups as WHL Champions, and the 1985 Memorial Cup. The Raiders have developed leaders on and off the ice, which includes 17 alumni being drafted in the first round of the NHL Draft.
