The Chinese Chamber of Commerce of New York, Inc.
cccofny.wordpress.comOur organization was first founded by a group of public-minded Chinese businessmen in 1904 as a “Trading Association” registered with the Chinese Imperial Government. In 1932, the organization incorporated itself into the State of New York and formally took the name “THE CHINESE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE OF NEW YORK, INC.” The Chamber is organized to reach out and serve the Chinese business community. According to our revised By-Laws of 1950, the objectives and purposes are as follow: - To promote and support the expansion and progress of Chinese commercial pursuits. - To encourage international trade with the Far East, and other areas of the world. - To advise and assist our members to solve problems relating to their business. We also strive to promote civic engagement among younger generations, particularly college and high school students. Our hope is that we can inspire the next generation of Asian-American leaders who will give back to their communities.
