The aim of the Sestec © group is to create adhesive resins that can replace the dominant toxic urea-formaldehyde adhesives on the market. In light of the latest research, the formaldehyde found in them has carcinogenic and mutagenic properties. Organizations dealing with environmental and consumer protection (such as REACH, RoHS, WBCSD, ChemSec, and others) introduce restrictions aimed at reducing the use of hazardous substances to which Formaldehyde belongs. The Sestec Team© developed the GreenBond™ family of adhesives, completely eliminating this dangerous substance from the production process. The results of these works are protected by appropriate patents and patent applications. Our goal is the continuous development of adhesive systems for cellulose-containing materials (in other words, wood-processing products), which are not only free of formaldehyde but contain natural ingredients. This new generation of adhesives not only meets all legal guidelines for the protection of workers in the production of cellulose-containing materials, safe working environment, environmental protection, and protection against emissions but also supports these guidelines by eliminating the release of toxic substances in the production process of such products.
