The vineyard was founded in 1955 by Olga and Rudolf Zimmerlin with a clear focus on making pinot wines, a specialty of the Kaiserstühler region. Former insurance executive and long-time wine enthusiast Alexander Steiner bought the vineyard in 2010 with the aim of making good wine for everyone. Zimmerlin wants to become the partner for beginners and wine connoisseur alike who are looking for and appreciate a good wine at a price for everyone. Together with a new, young and, above all, professional team, the winery lives true to the business motto: "We focus on the essentials: good wine."
