Chicago Latino Theater Alliance
www.clata.orgThe Chicago Latino Theater Alliance (CLATA) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2016 by a group of Latino cultural leaders: the International Latino Cultural Center, the National Museum of Mexican Art, the Puerto Rican Arts Alliance and arts executive, Myrna Salazar. CLATA works alongside many local theaters to promote and highlight Latinx talent within the theater world. Many of the productions are supported in an effort to bring light to the societal and cultural dilemmas that many Latinx communities face; such as race, politics, and identity. CLATA is proud to create a cultural hub where Latinx artists and companies are inspired to tell their stories and proudly exhibit their work.
