I first started making beard oil back in 2013. At that point in time, most people (myself included) had never even heard of beard oil. In fact, back in 2013 there were really only a couple of places in the UK selling it. With the lack of available options and the premium price tag beard oils carried back then, I decided to whip together my first batch. The name really came about by accident after a friend of mine tried that first batch of "homebrew" beard oil and said "Bob's Beard Oil, this is great!". So the name kinda stuck and I've been having fun making beard oil ever since. That first oil, Alpha Male, is still available to this day. Since then things have really changed! There are now hundreds, if not thousands, of companies out there selling beard care products. I've evolved (a bit) since then and now make 4 beard oils, 2 beard balms and a couple of other products (but we'll talk about those later). However, my core values of creating high quality products, using the best ingredients still applies today. Even after 8 years it's still just me, carefully hand mixing every batch and applying every label, with my own two hands. I've also branched out. As a running and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu enthusiast, I wanted to make products to make my life easier in the pursuit of those. The first is a muscle recovery oil, the other an anti-chaffing balm. My product containers are predominantly all glass and aluminium for ease of recycling and I'm currently working on removing as much / all plastic.
