“Yemen used to be” is an art initiative that aims to alter stereotypes held about Yemen. Our goal is not to dwell in the past rather use it as an insight to help us build a present that holds a better future. And as a result of the tragic situation in Yemen, negative energy has built up to refrain us from focusing on what is otherwise. The platform aims to reach the widest audience by adopting both Arabic and English languages as well as broadening the culture of art and learning about Yemen's ancient folklore.
