Established over three decades ago, in 1989, ABM University College, is the oldest private institution of higher learning in Botswana, providing accredited degree programmes across various Faculties and professional programmes including CIMA, CIPS and AAT. ABM UC is a member of the prestigious Association of African Universities (AAU) and the Southern African Research and Innovation Management Association (SARIMA). The institution’s main campus is in Gaborone, with two other campuses- Francistown and Masunga as well as two satellite sites- Gaphatshwa and Lotlhakane East. Through the Leadership Development Centre, the institution offers accredited training solutions in an array of fields to individuals and organisations intending to upskill their human resource, and continues to offer these programmes to government departments and ministries, parastatals and private companies. At the centre of the institution’s offering is its emphasis on entrepreneurship development and innovation. The institution has established an Entrepreneurship Centre where students, alumni and the general public can incubate their start-ups and receive mentoring to grow their enterprises. The institution’s footprint spans beyond Botswana with alumni from countries in the region including Zambia, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Swaziland, Angola, DRC, Lesotho, Namibia amongst others. The institution also emphasises internationalisation through its partnerships through MoUs with several universities, research centres and industry players.
