Powered by CAN works with children, young people & young adults across Sandwell, the Black Country and the wider Midlands region. Although the area is one of the most deprived in the country, it is bursting with potential and is incredibly diverse. We are proud of where we live and we want to address the inequalities that prevent young people from thriving by empowering them to live here with pride and purpose. We always put young people first and we do this by: - Championing young people’s democratic and social rights. - Encouraging the social and political participation of young people at all levels of community life. - Kick starting personal and social development by providing leisure, volunteering and learning activities. Powered by CAN provides opportunities for young people to engage, learn, take action and lead with us. We believe in young people and support them to lead the change they want to see, whether that’s at an individual and personal level or on a broader community level.
