Mega Aero Training Academy is based at O R Tambo International Airport with several satellite training facilities around the country and cross borders. MATA trains in the aviation fields of Technical (Apprentice and Advanced) including a variety of regulatory training and type training, Cabin Crew (Initial and Re-current), Dangerous Goods, CRM, Fire Fighting and First Aid for Aviation and non-aviation industries, OHS Training, SMS (Safety Management Systems), Maintenance Planning, Airport Disaster on/off, Aviation Risk Management and more and offers EASA specialised courses once a year. MATA instructors carry a multitude of approvals from the SACAA, TETA, NAMB, EASA, IATA and FAA.
