The Griff Investment Fund is the first student-run investment fund in the North of England, with 10,000 GBP under management. Based at the University of York, we are proud to be entirely student led. The fund grew out of the York Investment Fund, a virtual fund created in Autumn 2011 by York alumni and Griff Investment Fund founders. The Griff Investment Fund was formed in the summer of 2013 with funds provided by University of York alumni and CIO of Fixed Interest & Credit at First State Investments, Mr Paul Griffiths. The aims of the fund are to: - Outperform its constituent benchmark. - Educate analysts on the basics of fundamental valuation and risk management. - Provide analysts with essential, transferable skills and act as a springboard to successful careers. The Griff Investment Fund also, aims to develop the local community through outreach programs, educating the local community about financial matters.
