Conflict Research Consortium for Africa
www.conflictresearchconsortiumforafrica.comThe Conflict Research Consortium for Africa (CRCA) is a multi-disciplinary research and consulting platform for interdisciplinary research and consultation. In order to influence and inform policy for the peace and development of the continent, it brings together a global community of academics, scientific and technical institutions, practitioners, and citizens committed to producing indigenous solutions to Africa’s conflict challenges. The Consortium was established to provide a collaborative platform where African perspectives in conflict research can be heard and to promote "African Solutions to African Problems," through theoretical and empirical research and scholarship based on expert assessment of Africa’s realities on the ground. It aims to encourage a supportive research culture that is characterized by research integrity, ethics, and global best practices while encouraging equality, diversity, and inclusion. We hope that this collaboration will influence the career paths of young researchers across Africa. Our goal is to harness the conflict research strength of the continent, bridge the ‘triple-helix’ through relevant research collaboration, encourage local research dissemination in Africa for Africa, and strengthen local conflict journals.
