At the beginning of 2007 PWO AG in Oberkirch acquired a 60% interest in Cartec S.A. de C.V., a Puebla-based supplier of metal components and assemblies. In May 2008 the takeover has been completed. This acquisition allowed PWO to expand its capacity levels and establish an important market presence to complement the company's activities in the North American market, which has been served by PWO's facility in Kitchener/Ontario, Canada, since 1997.
