We are Alexander Benjamin and Marcus Clairmont, an artist duo under the name Alexander Mars. We entered the creative world from very different directions (she through art school, he as a self-taught freelancer) but our complementary talents have allowed us to collaborate within the realms of magazine design, photography, performance art and illustration, to name but a few. Our website is our portfolio, showcasing our separate endeavours as well as our newest series of collaborations, still in their infancy but set to grow over the coming months. Our projects for 2018-19 include: publishing a contemporary art and visual culture journal; conceptualisation and illustration of a dystopia; a series of works exploring spectatorship and surveillance.
