Most combustion processes develop soot particles which are deposited as fouling on the heating surfaces. This fouling has an insulating effect, prevents heat transfer and must therefore be removed. Since 1981 AEROVIT A/S has operated within boiler cleaning, both with actual cleaning and as a supplier and exporter of tools for boiler cleaning. This has provided us with in-depth knowledge of soot fouling and extensive experience of how to remove it. Based on these experiences, AEROVIT A/S has developed and patented a new method for cleaning boilers, the AEROVIT system, which is based on blasts of compressed air. The AEROVIT system thus uses compressed air instead of, e.g., steam for soot blowing. Unlike steam, compressed air is almost always available in connection with boiler installations. It is AEROVIT's vision to continuously be able to remove particle fouling from all surfaces. We focus in particular on soot fouling in boiler installations where we by ensuring a high, stable and financially viable output make boiler users' production very profitable. This means that the company is constantly testing new applications and changes to further develop the principle of compressed air soot blowing. AEROVIT carries out this work on a continuous basis while maintaining its daily production of soot blowing installations. Today, the AEROVIT system is used in more than 2500 boilers worldwide.
