The Kids' Cookery school is a unique charity that teaches children, young people and families all over London how to cook fresh, delicious food from scratch! • We deliver hands-on cookery workshops primarily to 3-16 year olds in the UK’s first ever purpose-built and designed cookery school in West London. • We provide outreach work with KCS on Wheels in schools, community centres, farmers markets, church halls and shopping centres – wherever there is running water and an electricity supply. • We adopt a multi-cultural approach to food, encouraging children to cook a variety of dishes from around the world. • Children leave the session knowing the importance of a balanced diet, able to identify a range of vegetables and fruits, and with an enhanced sense of pride and increased self-esteem. • Participants create a healthy, delicious dish that they take home with them, along with the recipe so that they can practice at home and pass on the message that cooking is fun, creative and of course delicious.
