Aurio is an Architecture & Interior design studio, based in Athens and London, specialises in Commercial & Residential spaces. Aurio was founded by Ino Protopapa, a RIBA Architect, practicing architecture at many well-established practices such as Foster+Partners. Aurio is committed to create spaces that stand up with their design, identity and character, while respecting the architectural principles of space, light and proportion. Through our forms, details and materiality, our design manifest distinctive spaces with charm and relevance, grounded in the values of contemporary design. The result of this exacting approach is the creation of elegant, refined projects that marry characteristics of classic architecture with an aesthetic that is at once contemporary and distinguished. Whilst we are continually aware of changing trends in each of the sectors we work in, we live in spaces that work around their users and stand the test of time. With each project, the rigorous design process adopted by the team begins with an immersive research process. Through close collaboration with our clients, we seek to establish a clear and full understanding of the physical and cultural context of the location as well as end-users and their needs. We then develop a narrative thread that responds to the client’s aspiration and is carried through the design stages to the realisation of the project itself.
