As the second world war began Cly-Del quickly honored itself meeting U.S. defense needs through supplying special war related metal parts on time while exceeding quality standards then established. Today, Cly-Del is a major global supplier of battery cans. In addition, it continues its long established contract production of ammunition components, eyelet type parts, shells, ferrules, cans, and other progressively stamped or deep drawn components. At its current home in Waterbury Connecticut, the company has grown from an original 50,000 to over 200,000 square feet. In its ongoing planning, seven additions have been integrated. Over the years, each expansion has been designed for greater efficiency relative to specific technologies then and now in practice.
