SaluVida (literally meaning 'Health & life') is a training and health promotion consultancy offering holistic health MOT courses to inspire and motivate individuals to reach their full potential, both at work, home and in wider society. Courses are designed to integrate physical health with emotional wellbeing for an informed conscious life experience. A great tool for Community Learning and Development (CLD) staff for working in groups over a number of weeks or for teachers with school leavers. The tool covers the cross cutting theme of health and wellbeing for the Curriculum for Excellence (CfE) SaluVida trains trainers to use the tool incorporating a range of creative media to allow all participants to gain and fully integrate the knowledge in their daily lives. The learning approach allows for flexibility across a range of subjects and can lead to more substantial projects. This is a great approach for working with disadvantaged communities, in prisons, with looked after children and in general across the curriculum in schools. It provides each individual with a snap shot of their physical and mental state and allows for planning for a brighter future. Underpinned using HeartMath bio feedback technology this Human MOT approach gives participants an insight into their aspirations providing some tools to help them achieve to their full potential.
