SWE Affiliate Pune is the first affiliate in India formalized in early 2015. Pune being a hub for engineering organizations, there’s a definite need of a platform provided by SWE for professional women engineers in the city. The Affiliate was founded by six members from 2 companies. Today the team has grown to 200+ members representing 20+ different companies. Affiliate’s activities are described on its website, pune.swe.org. The affiliate’s focus is on professional development as well as outreach. Each year we strive to provide an inclusive environment to women from different organizations and cultures to come together, network, learn from one another & support each other by sharing best practices.
