The Ramaiah Public Policy Center (RPPC) has been established under the aegis of the Gokula Education Foundation (GEF). GEF was founded in 1962to give brilliant, motivated, and committed students a conducive platform to pursue their higher education, to realize their dreams and to equip themselves to take on the world. Currently, GEF’s 17 institutions provide education, conduct research, and deliver services in Engineering, Medicine, Law, Management, and General Sciences. The Ramaiah group of educational institutions span a wide range of disciplines, are active in education and research in these disciplines, and engaged with their communities through their service activities. At this point of inflexion in India’s development, they have an opportunity to draw upon their experience and expertise and contribute to the public policy discourse on topics of importance to the city, the state, and the country. The RPPC will be the focal point of research, education, and extension/service contributions to the discourse.
