As a community resource, the Ypsilanti District Library's mission is to enrich life, stimulate intellectual curiosity, foster literacy, and encourage an informed citizenry. Founded in 1868, the Ypsilanti District Library serves 83,000 residents of the City of Ypsilanti, Ypsilanti Township, and Superior Township. In addition to offering books, e-books, CDs, DVDs, free internet access and more at our three locations and bookmobile, YDL also provides more than 2,500 free programs each year.
