We are The Goodness and we’re more than just a brewery. Making great beer is of course our main interest and in that we strive to bring you the most delicious, easy drinking beers we can produce. We care passionately about quality and to that end put a great deal of thought into everything we make. From sourcing the best ingredients, to matching our water profiles to compliment the style we’re brewing. We have a particular love of hops and many of our beers showcase those juicy, fruity flavours that we enjoy so much. With three brewers who enjoy many different types of beer you can bet there’ll be lots interesting stuff coming out of our brewhouse. The Goodness story began back in 2015 with three friends, Mike, Zack and Damien who’d got the bug for homebrewing and decided to start Wood Green Hopping, a community hop growing collective. This project quickly grew into the idea for a place where we could bring people together to share the things we love; music, art, friendship and learning. We wanted somewhere that could become a focus for good, not only to have fun but also where we can work with others to have a positive social impact in our community and beyond. Shortly afterwards old friends Ollie and Joe came on board and helped shape this vision of our beer bringing people together in a meaningful way. Things took off from there and we began by travelling to Sheffield to do our first commercial brews. Wanting to bring this closer to home, we started renting a recently closed brewery in the back of our local pub, whilst at the same time building our own home right here in the heart of Wood Green. More than just a brewery... Our amazing space opened in May 2019 and has already become a local hangout spot for many different people. Whether you’re popping in for a quick pizza and pint after work on a Friday, partying on a Saturday, or bringing the kids down to have a jump on the bouncy castle at our Sunday family fun days, all are welcome.
