The German Alliance is a public-private partnership with the aim at making international trade faster and simpler. We combine the strengths of companies, business associations, and governmental institutions. In its numerous trade facilitation projects, the Alliance engages where business and government interests match. We create opportunities for economic development in emerging and developing countries. The Alliance is guided by the Trade Facilitation Agreement (TFA) of the World Trade Organization (WTO) and supported by the German government. The Secretariat of the Alliance is hosted by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).
