Spimed-AI is developing an innovative artificial intelligence application, called Coronary-Expert. This AI takes coronary CT (computerized tomography) images in order to analyse them to detect and classify coronary lesions. It is able to predict the coronary flow reserve (FFR) in the event of detected stenosis and thus recommend the appropriate treatments. With such an application, coronary heart diseases can be detected more quickly by healthcare professionals, and even non-experts, thus avoiding heart attacks and death. Instead of numerous examinations that are sometimes invasive for the patient and very costly for the healthcare system, the treatment process is simplified thanks to a single, complete diagnostic.
