The Edgewater Development Corporation (EDC) is a local non-profit (501c3), community-based organization with the mission to redevelop the commercial resources of Edgewater to better serve the entire Edgewater Community. How does EDC work? We work to attract new businesses to the community, market the community to developers and retailers, provide input to developers on proposed projects to help them respond to community needs and desires, conduct community planning and visioning processes, and provide updates on development through our website and newsletter. In addition, we work with other local organizations, developers and elected officials to help them understand the needs and goals of the community in terms of commercial development and issues that impact the commercial districts.
