Mission objectives emphasize the integration of research, teaching, and service, significant and original contributions by faculty and students to the creation of knowledge, and the application of such knowledge to address individual, community, national, and global issues. The SSBS faculty strives to achieve this mission by implementing core themes of diversity, interdisciplinary learning, research and teaching integration, faculty-student collaborative learning and research, community involvement, and global and national perspectives throughout its undergraduate and graduate degree programs.
