The Overtown Youth Center (OYC) is a community development agency currently serving more than 1,700 youth and adult community members throughout South Florida. We function as a civic influencer and a catalyst for community change. We use a comprehensive program framework that blends; academic and vocational services, civic engagement, college and career services, employment assistance, healthcare, mentoring and youth empowerment. OYC promotes a holistic, intergenerational model of educational, health, employment and exposure opportunities which sharpen the necessary skills for educational success, economic achievement, household wellness, and mental and physical health.
