To inflame a new light of hope, some courageous and dedicated young persons employed their best effort to establish a new Rotaract Club, Rotaract Club of Chittagong University. To embrace the great Rota-wave, their eagerness was boundless. Thus, with the sincere leadership of Rtr. Kazi Abul Monsur, a group of energetic young people started a glorious journey with a great hope and inspiration. On 10th February 1991, the dreamers of this club organized a meeting with Rtr. Bashirul Haque and Rtn. Dr. Mahiuddin Ahmed of Rotary Club of Agrabad at Hotel Dean. They encouraged the dreamers to make their dreams real. On 28th February '91 the first meeting was arranged at the residence of Rtr. Swapna Monsur. On 13th March '91 the adhoc committee was formed in the presence of RCC Rtn. Dr. Mahiuddin Ahmed of Rotary Club of Agrabad. After that, the first meeting was organized on the 17th April '92 in the presence of the DRR Rtr. A. K. Muzibor Rahman (1991-92). DRR A. K. Muzibor Rahman was President at the first, second and third meeting of the Club. The person to whom the members of the Rotaract Club of Chittagong University will remain ever grateful is Rtn. Shahed Khan (Past President, Rotary Club of Agrabad) for his tremendous support and inspiration. Rtn. Anis A. Khan, Rtn. Iftekhar Uddin Chowdhury also contributed a lot in establishing this Club. On 17th November '92 Rotaract Club of Chittagong University got its Charter Certificate from Rotary International and this great torch was inflamed to touch the goals of Rotaract.
