The Black Business Student Association is an organization that strives to provide the Black/African-American population in the Bauer College of Business an inclusive environment to experience substantial growth opportunities academically, socially, and professionally through maximizing our values of leadership, enrichment/education, advocacy, and professionalism. We achieve these by providing a platform for long lasting relationships/ friendship and a convenient atmosphere for learning who you are and becoming the better version of the person you were yesterday, while affiliating with employers in mutually beneficial relations to help startup careers. BBSA expects to set each member in the best position to succeed as students at the University of Houston and for his/her future career ambition. We believe in actualizing academic pursuits with real world professional development and also, creating an opportunity to enlighten people who are interested in going to college but don’t have the resources to get a degree on how to be successful. Black Business Student Association aims to work diligently every day to build a legacy of excellence by developing students to achieve their future accomplishments in whatever they venture into.
