Volunteer Alberta helps Alberta do good, together. As a diverse and inclusive member association Volunteer Alberta nourishes the conditions for civic engagement and volunteerism in the province. We work with nonprofits across Alberta as a capacity building and capability nourishing organization. Our work is guided by 3 strategic priorities: 1. We are Connectors. VA convenes networks and collaborates across sectors to nourish relationships and advance collective work. We lead, partner, and support engagement across networks to allow for diversity of perspectives in conversations. 2. We are Champions. VA amplifies diverse voices to elevate the power of volunteerism and civic engagement in Albertan Communities. We are committed to providing space and authentically engaging with these diverse voices to foster inclusivity. 3. We are a Catalyst. VA strengthens nonprofits and community capacity to engage Albertans by sharing and mobilizing the knowledge we gain to provide initiatives and resources that help community organizations engage volunteers, build internal leadership, and achieve their missions. Together with our members and partners, we hope to see engaged, connected, and empowered communities building a flourishing Alberta.
