The business plan is to build and operate utility scale solar, wind, hydro, biomass and municipal waste to energy power stations throughout Myanmar along with the installation of a strategically placed utility scale storage/battery systems that will assist in stabilization of the Myanmar national grid. The master plan is a staged approach development over the next few years on a new 500kv core network. Myanmar environmental resource monitoring plans have already been instigated to determine the very best locations for development. It is expected that the first stage solar and wind installations be started late 2021 early 2022. Oblin Energy objectives are to firstly, fully facilitate Myanmar’s electricity needs and then actively promoting the export of surplus renewable energy to neighboring countries along with vigorously promoting energy efficiency.
