Ashfield Community Preschool is a private, nonprofit preschool serving children and families throughout the Hilltown area of Western Massachusetts. The school is housed in a one-story, renovated residence located in the center of Ashfield. The facility includes two classrooms, a kitchen, a spacious indoor playroom, a large well-equipped, fenced-in yard, and a children’s garden. We welcome children from 2.9 to 5 years old. Our new Toddler Program for children 15-33 months opened October 1, 2015. We also offer an after school program for young children in the early elementary grades. Our dedicated teachers are role models and facilitators of a developmentally appropriate preschool experience. Our teachers believe that children develop a lifelong love of learning through play in early childhood. Our curriculum offers hands-on exploration with activities and themes that emerge from the children’s interests as well as from the world around them. The Ashfield Community Preschool is licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care.
