RJ Working
www.rjworking.co.ukRJ Working is a registered charity based in the South West. Our mission is to tackle inequality through promoting young people’s leadership of the restorative model in their communities, especially in schools and colleges. We are a multidisciplinary team of social workers, former teachers, youth workers, and creative artists/community builders. We collaborate with individuals and other organisations to enable young people’s empowerment. 2022 will be a vitally important year for them to find their voices, decide their priorities and actively engage in making things better. We offer Restorative Practice for building relationships and strengthening young people’s capabilities to look after themselves and each other, and as a means of them promoting both social justice issues and environmental protection. In response to the global COVID-19 pandemic, we have adapted the delivery of our programmes to online so that we can offer this alongside in-person work, in ways that maintain our commitment to meaningful, high-impact, relationship-based learning. Rather than the solitary study inevitably associated with many school subjects, our approach instead breaks down barriers of imposed isolation by forming connections between young people to support them through this difficult time. #1197378
