Donells Candies, Inc
www.donellschocolates.comOn March 17, 1956 Don and Elma Stepp opened a homemade candy store in Casper, Wyoming that was destined to become a tradition with many families. After his Navy service, Don worked for Peter's Popcorn learning the trade, then he and his wife Elma opened their own store in Colorado Springs. They decided to move north, and stopped in Casper for a visit, and you can guess the rest of the story. . . They worked many hours handcrafting candy canes, lollipops, fudges, popcorn and candies as well as packaging gifts for all occasions. Their son, Mike, and Elma's mother were recruited for help during the holidays. Over time some things have changed - the faces behind the counter, some candies that are made, and the location of the store. One thing hasn't changed - the quality that comes from the care and pride that are part of each recipe. Come visit Donells Candies and watch three generations of the Stepp family make homemade candies you won't forget. Mike and Ryan Stepp bring over 75 years of combined experience in candy and ice cream making.
