Founded by Gelareh Kamyab and Erfan Aghanoorian in 2019, CYCLES aims to provide a first class tuition service pinpointing a proprietary methodology built up around Inquiry-Based Curriculum. Our tuition service scaffolds students' motivation, autonomous learning and inquiry-based behaviour. Some characteristics to our approach include: • Providing opportunities to share personal experiences • Employing various vehicles to identify learners’ previous knowledge • Designing a course based on needs analysis • Regular goal-setting activities • Providing opportunities to interact and ‘negotiate to meaning’ • Employing referential questions to create a more naturalistic environment and allow reasoning and communication skills • Creating a learner-centred environment where the teacher acts as an observer and facilitator • Allocating equal focus on grammar, vocabulary, listening, speaking, reading and writing skills • Developing research skills based on the posed questions • Adopting strategies to overcome anxiety and stress such as peer teaching and collaborative group work • Scaffolding reflective behaviour • Employing alternative assessment strategies; ‘assessment for learning’ • Assisting the learners to learn how to make choices and identify the gap in their knowledge • Using authentic assessment models • Holding regular individual and group feedback sessions • Accommodating opportunities to connect to a wider community
