Re.school
www.re.schoolSchool closures due to COVID-19 have triggered the biggest impact on the K-12 education sector in modern history. Around the world, we went from classroom-focused learning to remote and digital learning within days, often with a lot of improvisation and trial and error, and always with great personal effort from teachers. Now, as the current school year comes to an end, schools and teachers are moving forwards to envisage the future. While we all hope that we have passed the worst part of the COVID-19 pandemic, a lot of uncertainty remains. Most likely, the next academic year will be an atypical year, with the need to guarantee social distance in classrooms. Schools face serious challenges preparing for the next academic year: health & logistics, blending face-to-face and online teaching, curriculum delivery, measurement of learning outcomes, supporting pupils and families, as well as considering teacher wellbeing. To find answers to these challenges, we have to #reThinkSchools, bringing together the best minds, best practices and best ideas. With our ambition to shape the future of education, we are organising on 24-25 June 2020 the first re.school Forum, a global online conference to discuss the future of schools and share best practices.
