Description The Association’s membership includes more than 25,000 stores from across the state which represents 75 percent of North Carolina’s retail sales volume. About 60 percent of NCRMA members are independent stores. NCRMA serves both large and small retailers from multi-state chains to local “Mom and Pops,” and all types of merchants including antique, apparel, art, automotive, book, carpet, department, drug, electronics, floral, furniture, grocery, hardware, jewelry, paint and variety stores. Products In addition to its mission of fostering a pro-business climate for the retail industry in North Carolina, the association publishes a monthly newsletter and a weekly e-letter during legislative session. NCRMA members have access to: • Cost-effective workers’ compensation and health insurance programs; • Lower credit card and check processing fees; • Shipping discounts through UPS; • Competitive rates for phone service, banking, credit cards.
