VTH Verband Technischer Handel is an independent Association for Industrial Distributors in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, 100 per cent held by its members. The VTH Verband Technischer Handel e.V. was founded in 1904 as a voluntary and independent association of the former asbestos and rubber goods distributors. In the course of the time the function was supplemented by various service offers. Today, the VTH is the only professional association for the technical wholesale sector and the professional association for Industrial Distributors in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The claim of the VTH, to be close to the member companies and to offer them unique platforms for professional exchange on individual main product groups, is reflected in the 8 VTH regions and 5 VTH specialist groups. Our members are around 230 distributors (wholesalers) for industrial and technical requirements with all associated services as well as machining and processing. This means a number of more than 400 sales outlets throughout Germany, Austria, Switzerland and neighbouring countries and a total turnover of more than 4.0 billion euros. The focus of the product range is usually on technical rubber and plastic products, drive elements, hoses and fittings, personal protective equipment, seals and rolling bearings. Many companies also offer sealants and adhesives, fire protection products, conveyor belts, pumps, chemotechnical maintenance products such as cleaners and lubricants, as well as tools.
