VoiceThread is the evolution of online communication. We are building a product that bridges the gap between real-time discussions and static multi-media slideshows. A VoiceThread gives the feeling of working side-by-side with others, even if you're on opposite sides of the world, and working at completely different times. This makes VoiceThread the platform for on-demand teaching, learning, training, critiquing & editing--collaboratively. We are working with the goal of true accessibility for our platform so that any "door" used to access VoiceThread is equally effective for each individual's means of participation. With the release of VoiceThread Universal, we took the first step toward realizing this goal, making discussions around media accessible to people using screen readers to access and participate: In Fall 2011, we released the VoiceThread- Mobile App that will provides the same experience of creating and collaborating around content on a Mobile device as experienced in our web-based application.
